Escapade VFX is an Atlanta-based visual effects studio founded and led by VFX/CG Supervisor Jon Balcome. With 16 years in high-end VFX, our work runs from full commercial jobs start to finish to subcontract supervision for larger studios who need a VFX/CG Supervisor over their in-house team — and has reached millions of viewers through the Super Bowl and platforms including Netflix, Disney, HBO and Amazon Prime.

Jon Balcome — VFX/CG Supervisor · Founder
Jon founded Escapade VFX in Atlanta and leads the studio as VFX/CG Supervisor. His career in high-end visual effects spans supervisor, CG supervisor and artist roles on IPs for Marvel, Netflix, Amazon and the largest vendors in the business, and he is regularly brought in by bigger houses to supervise their in-house teams. His range runs from year-long feature builds on monthly deliverables to Super Bowl spots that turn around in days. Jon owns the CG — look-dev, lighting, FX, creature and environment.
Joshua LaCross — VFX Supervisor · Partner
Joshua has supervised visual effects across feature film and prestige episodic television for over two decades — from the early CG pipeline at The Orphanage to overall on-set supervision at Crafty Apes. He is a VES Award winner for Outstanding Compositing in an Episode, and pairs classical compositing discipline with a working AI toolkit. Where Jon owns the CG, Joshua owns the comp — on set through final delivery.
